Bukit Timah River in around 1905

I was browsing around the library and came across this booklet called Bukit Timah Planning Area – Planning Report 1993. It is published by URA and it part of the URA planning for Singapore’s 55 planning areas.

This booklet shows the plans for Bukit Timah.

I saw this photo in one of the pages. It’s the Bukit Timah River in 1905.

Do you know where is the Bukit Timah River? Do an online search to find out. :-)
I have no idea where it is!

I believe, but don’t know and for some reason cannot see your picture currently, that the river is now te canal that runs between bukit timah road and dunearn road. They are mostly parallel 2 or 3 lanes seperated by the canal.
